Robert Bates & Co, located in Parramatta, have successfully been servicing their clients for a period of 60+ years. They offer a comprehensive suite of business services for all our clients who have various business types in many different industries. Robert Bates the co-founder mentored Sharon, who has over 20 years’ experience in the accounting industry. Sharon is now leading the helm, continuing that legacy, mentoring staff.

Sharon Hewitt, an accountant with over 20 years’ experience, has been a partner of Robert Bates & Co since 2010.
Sharon has been mentored throughout her career by Robert Bates and continues Robert’s tradition of providing quality accounting and taxation services to our long term client base of small and medium bases together with individuals’ taxation requirements.
Sharon is a Member of the Institute of Public Accountants, a Registered Tax Agent and a Registered Self Managed Superannuation Fund Auditor.

Urwik joined the Robert Bates & Co team as a Business Service Manager in 2015 and his areas of expertise includes taxation, superannuation, advisory and compliance.
He has established close business relationships with our clients, allowing him to both understand and anticipate their needs, whilst providing the best possible services.
Urwik’s is a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Information About Maria
Maria is a Business Services Manager, who joined Robert Bates & Co in 2009. Her areas of expertise including analysing accounting information including company, partnership, trust, self-managed superannuation funds and individual taxation work.
Maria has established close business relationships with our clients. She likes to nurture her clients and assist with any needs they may have.
Maria has completed her Advanced Diploma of Accounting.
She is supported by a team of Intermediate and Junior Accountants
Robert Bates
Robert Bates the founding partner of the company retired from the practice in 2018.
Robert celebrated life to the maximum, from climbing mountains, to cycling all over the world, enjoying every outdoor activity possible.

Robert passed away on 16 May 2022, a beautiful man through and through.
